About Oleo Acres

Hi – My name is Matt Kirchner.  After hunting on permission properties for years, I finally picked up my first property of my own and got to work.  In the middle of that effort, a second property became available that I couldn’t live without . . . So my first property turned into my first habitat development flip.  That light bulb moment ignited a passion for developing premier hunting properties with the goal of leaving a positive impact for wildlife with each project.

The name Oleo Acres is in honor of my grandparents farm in Western Nebraska.  Grandpa named his property after Oleomargarine, a “Cheap Spread” alternative to butter.
